Our new blog

Why the agency is opening a blog, what it will say, and what it will not.

If we are opening a blog, it is not chiefly to keep Google fed, though a little visibility, we admit, never did anyone any harm. Our industry already produces quite enough pages written for search engines rather than for readers: keywords stacked like sandbags, promises interchangeable from one agency to the next, and remarkably little that answers the questions people actually ask. Many blogs in this world exist to occupy space; this one exists to say something. We would rather take the time to write, with the same frankness we have always used in person, about the things one usually prefers to leave unsaid.

Let us be honest about one thing: the subjects themselves are not new. You will find a piece on the girlfriend experience or on how to book almost anywhere you look, and we have no intention of reinventing the wheel. What we bring is the angle: sometimes different, sometimes close to what you will read elsewhere, but always our own, and carried by a critical eye.

The blog will speak the way Felines speaks: in the plural, with opinions we are prepared to stand behind. Most of the time it will be the agency's voice; from time to time an individual may write under their own name, a member of the team, one of our hostesses or an invited outside voice, without the blog becoming any one person's platform. You will read here what we already say, in conversation, to those who ask us good questions. Four sections will give it shape to begin with:

  • THE ESSENTIALS: definitions and clear answers, so that we all know what we are talking about before we talk about anything else.
  • PERSPECTIVES: our frank take on high-end companionship, its experiences and its history, reviews included.
  • DESTINATIONS: the cities we know best, written without leaning on the tourist brochures.
  • NEWS: what is new at the agency, on the occasions it deserves an announcement.

This is only a beginning: other sections will follow, as the blog finds its stride.

The editorial promise is brief. We will write frankly and without padding: when a term has been worn hollow, we will say so; when a received idea is wrong, we will correct it. We will publish rarely, and each article will be made with the same care as everything else we do. The launch is the exception: we are opening with several pieces, so there is something to read from the start; after that, we will ease into a calmer pace, though not so calm that you forget us. Our sources will be checked, and when we quote someone, it will be a reference you could verify yourself. You will find no gossip recycled from review boards here: it is neither our register nor our world. Discretion, for its part, is not relaxed on this page: we will write about this world, never about our clients.

Where to begin? At the beginning, sensibly enough: with our long-form piece on what a high class escort actually is, which sets out the terms and puts a few received ideas back where they belong. And if your question is more personal than any article can be, our contact page remains, as ever, the shortest route to an answer.
